Porkchop, if you want tips, answers etc.. put it in the right place.
You've already post this in the Archives and Frequently asked questions section and now in the forsale/wanted/group buys.
I suggest you put this in the Chat section. You'll get more replys because its in the right place.

Actully kid zelda and porkchop this should be in the tech area cus the questions are technical not what he has done already and is happy. But as far as speakers go you go to look and see what you want out of you system as far as sound quailty.IF you want good clearity get some 2-3 way speakers and put them in there that wiull alo help with some of the bass and high's due to the tweeters. If you are going to add subs well then see what you want ther as well.
Sound/bass or a mix of bass and clearity.there are theree kinds of sub boxes.open/ported,sealed,and bandpass. But if you need more help just e-mail me and i will do the best i can to help as well.
e-mail me at
[email protected] or you can pm me but it is better to e-mail.

I've installed multiple systems, and hate anything more than 2 way speakers. just more issues to deal with later, and more stuf to break. If you want OK sound and minimal money, run 2 - 6 1/2 " 2-way speakers up front and power thenm with a nice head unit. You will have to make custom mounts out of some 1/4" material (MDF, Birch, etc..) And replace the rears with some good 4x6 speakers.. (no need for 2-way) you barely hear them anyway. they act as rear fill. With that you'll sound ok to good.
The "Active speaker" is nothing but amps built into the Speaker mounts.. shitty amps at that.. Get rid of them.
Speaker Company's I really like:
MB Quart
Boston Acoustics
Infinity
Focal
CDT Audio
DEI
The stock system was way tired so I through in a spair Pioneer DEH-P4100 that I had laying around. When that didn't take care of the nasty sound coming from the speakers I went to walmart and bought some pioneer 4x6" speakers for like $42. It sounds a lot better, but still could use some tweaking of the EQ to make it sound how I want it. The rear speakers are next. I still need a lil bass...but I don't want "a system"...I'm happy for now.
