I searched and cannot find the stock timing for the KA24E all i found was 20 degrees for the KA24DE. Is the KA24E 15 or 20???

Actually no it's not. 15BTDC for the KA24e. You can find that information in the FSM.

Which version of the FSM do you have?
The one I have is from zeroyon.com, and quite frankly, I hate it.
Can't friggin find information for shit. Not nice like the 89-98 FSMs.

Actually you have the right one your not reading it right. FSM stands for Factory Service Manual. It is direct from Nissan. Shhh don't tell chiltons that they may want to close zeroyon because of it..LOL

I know what FSM is.
And Zeroyon is for some reason down, the domain seems to be gone, maybe you're right.
But yeah, I looked through the individual files last night (which is a horrible format, not like the other ones with the index file that you open and then you can be linked to the right sections from there), and confirmed that it is indeed 15* BTDC.

I thought I was the only one who had trouble finding stuff. No index = sucks. I hate having to open several pdf's just to find something.

This would explain why I have been blowing head gaskets for the last 3 years and why I just melted 4 pistons. :eek2:
