AH, I didn't read the TT part. Haha, fuck man. Sounds like more effort than it's worth.

well its a friend of mine, and hes closing up his shop. so hes giving me everything for 300 bucks. im talking EVERYTHING, wheels brakes hubs suspesions, pretty much a rolling chassi(yes including the gutted car). so i wanna know if its worth it to pick it up. if nothing works and its not gonna sell that fast sence none of its desired, i dont wanna waste the time and space.

Whats wrong with the 300ZX chassis? Has it been hit? Blown motor? What's the story on it. Id take the rolling chassis and work on that. 300Z's are great cars.
But on the other hand, no it wont work. I have a thread floating around in the tech forum and I had this same issue with my S13, I bought hubs that were supposed to be from a N/A and turned out they werent, so I got hosed on that. Sell some parts and buy a brand new conversion.

From what ive read the rear spindles should be Aluminium instead of steel.
Check this out... it gives the whole proceedure for using z32 rear spindles.

Welcome to Earth. We knew this 16 years ago. Problem is the TT cars all have HICAS, making the upright useless since there's a balljoint in place of the toe arm bushing.
In order to use Z32TT hubs you would need the axles as well due to the increased spline size, however this isn't an option since the axles are longer than S13/S14 and can't compress enough to fit the subframe. In other words, they're useless too.

I think its worth it. Sans hubs, the brake system is worth more than $300.

Whats wrong with swapping the entire rear sub frame out?? That is what I did with mine, Although Mine is a R32 rear with HiCas. I just installed a HiCas Eliminator bar.

Z32 subframe is too wide to swap like that.

Im sorry, did I offend you in some way? Whats with the aggressive behavior?
Please enlighten us with your wisdom, rather than picking on the people with less experience than you seem to have. In my last post I reffered to the R32 sub swap that I had done, and asked why you couldnt do that with the Z32. Rancid was gracious enough to provide us with an answer.

well im not gonna do it, but what are your guys opinion on the brakes? he will probly just give me the wheels. but should i snag up the brakes? incase i do the 5 lug in the future. the only reason i was gonna do it was cuz it was gonna be dirty cheap.

you can use z32 5lug rear hubs, its too mnuch work tho, have to use r200 q45 diff wiht like a z32 tt pass side axel and a j30 or q45 right side axel something like that theres a write up on it

Take the brakes, and call it a day, then throw the car in a dumpster.

If you take the brakes, also take the Master Cylinder, e-brake lines, and e-brake drum setup with the backing plates. For the rear calipers, make sure to also take the hard line as well if you're not replacing the lines when you decide to install them.
