Is there a way to simulate an injector pulse for both saturated, and peek-hold injectors? I have been looking for tools to do this, and i think OTC produces one, but i'm not sure if thats what its for. The idea is to troubleshoot injectors outside the vehicle to check spray patterns, and at the same time monitor the injector's function on a lab scope. This way i can have a controlled environment where the control circuit won't be a factor.
Current is applied to an injector in milisecond intervals, so using a momentary switch could potentially overheat and damage the windings. Like i said, i want to do this outside the vehicle, and don't want to pull off the fuel rail while someone cranks the engine. Also, does anyone know where i can get replacement pintle caps for Nissan injectors (KA, CA, and SR)?
