So I have asked a few questions on bodykits, but I really think I want the Bomex kit.
The question is...
What brands are know for nice fitting? I have heard ViS racing (ebay stuff) and Erebuni doesn't fit for anything, and shops charge like 6 or 7 hours to install it. This is according to many 240.org reviews, but they have no reviews on better quality parts.
So.. will the Bomex bumper fit nicely on my '96 240sx?

"most" JDM kits fit VERY well, Bomex should be good. My Veilside fit like a glove.....no mods. keep in mind that VIS, Erebuni etc etc are all copies. more often than not, when something is copied, the details are lost. they use less material (thinner), and remove em from the molds to quickly. FG needs to "set" for a period of time IN THE MOLD, otherwise it deforms if pulled out too soon. if you know how to work with FG, and have time to mess with a copy, it can be worth the $$ savings. i could have bought the Erebuni for half the price, paid my bodyman at least half of the savings to fit it, and it still would not have fit as well. so i coughed up the dough!

Ok.  Next question is... if the bodykit is fiberglass, if you scrape it on the ground, will it crack, or does it have something in it to make it flexible?

yes, the drawback to FG! i'm TRYING to buy a good used stock bumper to swap on my car when i autox or road coarse it so i don't trash my FG bumper. but just scraping it doesn't mean its gonna crack.....it will scrape paint off just like urethane. when u buy the cheap copies, u usually get thinner FG (to save $$ to make cheaper) thus it will crack easier. typically the JDM kits r thicker FG.
biggest prob is very limited urethane kits out there (if any at all??) for 240s.....most r FG.

Are they much heavier than the stock bumper?  I know fiberglass weighs almost as much as metal, and I figure you have held both.  Is it a noticable difference?  And which is lighter?
Thanks for the help yenpit!

FG is usually lighter, but when u get a "big mouth" or "shogun" bumper that is bigger, it prob weighs close to stock (??) but just looks sooooo sweet! urethane can be heavy.....my WW Civic kit weighed a ton!
