Has anyone been able to get this sucker off without a steering wheel puller? I'm trying to get this done on my lunch break so I can get my new wheel on.

Just rock it back and forth while pulling, I've been able to get all my steering wheels off that way...

try loosen the nut first, but not all the way leave it on at the end. Just incase you're trying too hard to pull the steering wheel out and the wheel hit your face. Ok so now go get like a bar and just rock it back and forth behind the steering wheel.
Okay heres the EASIEST thing in the world.
Undue the nut. Bash back and forth on the steering wheel. Pull off.
3 seconds to take off my last steering wheel lol

Yep, exact same way I did mine. Not the smartest way but it works.

Use a steering wheel puller.

you don't need a steering wheel puller just undo the main bolt to the steering wheel and give it a good tug, you'll be :2f2f: in no time i used minimal force to take off mine so it should be pretty easy :bigok:

Yea, mines on there pretty good. Looks like I might have to get a puller. Damn. lol
No you don't. Seriously Just bang on opposite sides of the steering wheel violently a couple times. and its comes right off. And I mean some violent banging haha

Puller makes you feel like a wussy boy, but it's soooo easy... once it's in place, it only takes about 1/2 turn before the wheel literally jumps off the splines...
I've done two now, S14 without a puller, and S13 with... I'm keeping the tool handy :)

its very easy. I am a novice when it comes to cars and I was able to take it off w/a few bangs to the steering wheel...or you could loosen the nut, like stated earlier, and pull back and forth.

standard BFH for the win, got mine out in a couple minutes, INCLUDING the removal of cover and screws and all extraneous electronics and such

it depends on the car. some wheels take more effort, others less. you dont need a puller for sure, but dont violently bang the wheel out. all you have to do is slowly pull back and forth. you just have to be patient, and it will come off. iirc, last time i think i used like a breaker bar and kind of pivoted the wheel out. i forgot what i did tho. anyways, you can figure it out.
