tranny removal

alright im workin on my sohc-dohc swap and i got the single slammer pulled with motor and tranny, now the tranny want come off the motor...i got every bolt and i do know that becuase i can spin the transmission completely around...me and my friends pulled as hard as we could and it want budge...the tranny will seperate about 2-3 inches from the block and will spin around freely...ive run out of ideas any help would be appreciated. thanks

Try to find a way to dissengage the clutch if it's a 5 speed. The clutch is probably just hung up.

weve had this problem before its basically the pilot bearing is seized.... best bet.... if a portatable doesnt work... then youd have to get a hole saw.... drill a hole thru the bellhousing and take the clutch off thru that hole... its a pain in the ass.. but u gotta do what u gotta do..

damn u infinite i knew i would have to do that ...we had to do the same thing to my friends tranny except someone put on his bearing backwards...will i still be able to use the tranny even with the hole...i mean it should be alright.
