Ok I have no idea if this event is even for real or not, but I'd like to get a thread started to see if anyone has heard anything about it.

2006 Schedule:
6/08/2006 Drift Day (Thursday nights) Irwindale, CA
7/13/2006 Drift Day (Thursday nights) Irwindale, CA
8/10/2006 Drift Day (Thursday nights) Irwindale, CA
9/31/2006 Drift Day (Thursday nights) Irwindale, CA

I haven't heard anything, but I live close enough that I'll throw some tires in the trunk and head over there.

That would be awesome, I work just down the street from the speedway. What a way to blow off steam after a shitty day! I'm going to check the dday website right now..

from what i've ben told ot WILL happen but not that fast. maybe at the end of this month to half way through next month!

From what I hear it is on the inside oval of the track.

There's a big bank (with a wall), a little bank (with a wall) and an infield that's pretty harmless with the exception of a couple light poles (that I wouldn't really worry about).

Yep but who knows now? its a irwindale tradition every thursday 1.8th drags anyone know any more info about this?

i watched tony angelo do it in his FC (old) with SR many times
stock turbo just boosted up
couldnt make more then 250 on that t25 and stuff

it can be done.
it just aint easy
i cant do it hahaha

IT IS invite only, otherwise registration would have been up. Not sure about times though, Im just going to roll out there around 7p.

edit: I just called to verify and its unfortunately "invite only" to spectate as well.

Don't worry, you guys didn't really miss much.
There was a couple of good corolla guys. Not that many good Nissans.
There were less than 20 cars.
Some videos may come up later.

everyone was taking it easy and just having fun. Not too many people there and would have ruined it for everyone if someone stuffed it into the wall.

Probably it gives more options for advanced or intermediate or pro lines.
