I just got a S15 lsd and I have never put in an LSD, but the task doesnt scare me BUT I will have to buy a backlash gauge ($30) and some shims (I head nissan doesnt sell these so you have to get them made or make your own) and take the time to learn how to properly set backlash and what not...and after I do all that, there is still a chance that I did it wrong.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop that will install my new diff into the stock casing (I will remove the casing and open diff so all they have to do is set backlash and shim it). Does anyone know a quick estimate (maybe $75-100)? Any info on a good differential shop is greatly appreciated.

ProGear in San Diego did my Kaaz and a friend's S15 HLSD (with 3.6R&P). They're very reputable - all they work on is differentials.

hey guys, thanks for all the replies. I and going to call everyone next week and see who seem like best place and cheapest/closest. I need an alignment, so I was thinking about giving STILLEN a call and see if they would do a deal with the diff install and alignment because most alignment shops wont touch my car since the car is "lowered" and has "aftermarket" arms (coilovers/camber plates, t/c, tie rods (inner and outer), and ruca's). Well I am hoping I can get both done for $200 or less, ($75-100 for diff install and $100-$125 for alignment)

I wouldn't take my car to Stealin. I'll be taking my car to Vodie's in Garden Grove. They quoted my $90 for my car and I got all the adjustable links.

Well Stillen is literally 5 min from my house and they have a super clean shop and seems like they are nice people, but they do charge alot. I was thinking about Glen's Alignment (or Glen's Front End?) for my alignment. I will see if the place I interned for will help me do the diff install since it is going to cost $100.
