I took my 240 for a test drive today for the first time after adjusting the clutch pedal and wiring up my fans to finally be able to drive it. At start up, oil pressure is around 60-80psi until it warms up to around 40psi which seems right. The valvetrain is noisy...i know it's normal but not used to it. I'm going to run it once I get the bumper on and hood for a good 20 miles to bleed out the lifters.

Once driving it, I get on it, boost gauge doesn't get up to boost stays only in vaccum. I shift, and the BOV vents...then flutters...gas it up and it reads the same...BOV vents and then flutters. The fluttering sound seems to come from the intake area.

I turn if off and I can hear the bearing in the turbo spinning, no oil smell out of the exhaust...I also have a Profec B which is set at minimum values for now. Even with it set at minimum though I would think I would at least get 'some' boost right?

I think once I fit the bumper I'll take it to someone to check over and make sure everything is how it should be....

check your source, switch them around a bit , I had a bad boost source that was letting barely any air through.

that's weird b/c my source now is between the fpr and throttle body...and if that source was bad you'd think my fuel system would be all frigged up.

It could be one or more of the intercooler piping is loose. Make sure all of those connections are secure. I popped one of the couplers shifting one time...

did u check your timing. timing can cause this. especially that noise from the intake i experienced this before. sounds like your car is running way too retarded get a timing light and check it.

Pressurize your pipings and see if you have a leak somewhere. i got a bet you got a leak. Also if you didnt lift your valve cover to check your head, you might as well do it cuz if the lifters are really noisy, you might as well manually bleed them. Noisy SR lifters like to stay noisy till you actually do something bout it. Pop em out, soak them into some oil and stick something in there to pop air bubbles out. Doing this will also give you an excuse to get to know the head and double check your mechanical and ignition timing...also slap on some rocker arm stoppers.
