Ok I have searched alot and could not come up with 100% accurate answer so il give it a try and ask here, other forums told me just to search more...

Ok my question is, next week im ganna buy an s14, and dabating about base model and SE, Base model got 4 lugs, and SE 5 lugs, on SE u can fit 245/40/17 and on the base model only 215 or so, my question is. If i took base model, did a 5 lug conversion, will i be able to put on that big of tires, the rear fenders are same high SE vs base, its only a difference in lugs right? And has enough space to do that let me know thanx guys :hammer:

yea only diff are the 4 lug and 5 lug,the 5 lug has a much more vast array of rim options compared to the 4 lug. but there is sum out there 4 tha 4 lugger. and body is same. i have 245 rears on 4 lug.

Why the hell would you want to put 245s on the stock SE wheels?

Also, base model s14 5 lug conversion is easy. Just do the conversion, and then get better wheels.

SHiet you can stuff 315s in the rear tire width wise with the right width and offsetted rim. If you can find a 5 lug, go for it. But if you cant, and your planning on upgrading things thats already on a SE like lsd, swap bars, and want a lightest S14 chassis possible, go for the base. Most base model doesnt have extra dead weight on the chassis *namely sunroof*

And no, you cant stuff 245s on the stock 6.5" rim. If you do, your beyond stupid for doing so. They run stock 205 width, widest you should ever run on those rims are 225.

Base model got 4 lugs, and SE 5 lugs, on SE u can fit 245/40/17 and on the base model only 215 or so

Doesnt make any sense at all. Fitting tire sizes have nothing to do whether its SE or base. They are the same, only difference is the number of lugs and holes in the rotors.

the base model comes with 6 inch wide wheels, the se comes with 6.5 inch wheels. so, tires sizes are slightly different

Yea but hes not talking about that. If he did the conversion like he says then he cant even use base model wheels. I know the rim widths are different and its 15 vs 16. He even put 245/40/17 saying it wont fit on a base. I dont know where he got that info, maybe NICO?:bite:

I must of wrote it bad, but i know there is no way in hell u can put those tires on stock rims, im planning on buying 17x8 wheels for the rears and with 245 tires, i knew that much just wondered if i can fit on base model with 5 lug conversion, and from what u guys answered means i can, so evrything is fine, i can now loook for a base and do a 5 lug conversion, that was the only thing i was worried.

And now i dint think i can put on 245s on stock SE rims lol :Owned:

you can fit 245s on 17x8, but it depends on the offset.

You can fit a 245 on a 6.5, it would just be like a balloon.

245 on a 6.5 is pointless and stupid.

Might as well mount some jello on your wheels.
