anti-theft

my 95 240 has a factory anti-theft security light on the dash.
I was told that I need the keyless remote but the car did not come with one so my question is that do I need remote or not.

It could be one of those anti-theft deterrent lights. The ones that don't have a purpose except to make thieves think that you have an alarm. My uncle's got one of those. I dont' know though, but I don't think you do. It's better to just get a clifford or DEI. ok you really dont need the remote. &nbsp;Because i am guessing you have a factory alarm (anti theft) but you dont have a remote. I dont have a remote either but if your factory alarm goes off, all you have to do is put the key in the door handle and turn the key twice to stop it. &nbsp;Even though i have that factory alarm i still got a clifford (700 dollar) alarm. &nbsp;So now i got 2 alarms. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
