I am switching to a new setup. GT3071R, AEM EMS, GReddy stage 2 cams and valvetrain, GM 3 bar MAP, Greddy intake manifold....anyway I expect to see around 420 at 20psi, will there be a problem with the stock SR bottom end holding the power?
I am building a built block on the side but will be running stock block for a few months.

I would think your bearings or pistons would hurt a little from that much boost.

Well the record here in Florida is 611HP on a stock bottom end. I guess it would depend on how your gonna drive it.

bottom end can handle it depending on condition and assuming a good tune. Headgasket and ARP headstuds are needed for sure.

i ran a stock bottom end/headgasket motor just had some jun cams at 32 psi for 3 months...track car only and well im not the easiest on cars. motor finally gave out...catch can was full and overflowing and i had rod knock after 2 straight days of drifting. took a beating though.

well im running cometic hg and arp had studs with previously mentioned mods so you think it will hold up? also 20psi will only be seen during tuning and once a month if I find someone to race where I will actually need that much. For everyday driving it with only see .8bar, roughly 11.5psi.

honestly i dont think itll be a problem, im a HUGE asshole to my motors anyone who knows me can vouch for this i always drive 110%. but i would definetly have a motor being built on the side when this one DOES blow because IT WILL.
