I just finished my upper timing chain on my 95 240SX. The marks seemed to line up, I had everything at TDC. I started my car and now it is missing and tapping really loud like the valves are hitting the piston. Can anyone help on what I might have fucked up?

ok, I fixed the chain problem. Now the car is still turning over and sounding great. My problem is that the engine misses a little, but stays running as long as I'm pressing on the accelerator. It dies immediately when I let of the gas. Does it just need to be timed right, like maybe the distributor is off a little? If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. I'm not that experienced in igniton.

the timing is still off.
if you ran out of adjustment room, you are one tooth off. otherwise, just turn the dist until it idles on its own.
