I recently put S14 inner and outers on both of my cars front wheels and for whatever reason I can't get the alignment straight enough to limp to a shop. From what I have read, I should be fine as long as I use S14 units for both the inner and outer but it's not cooperating. I have both sides tightened all the way to pull the front wheels straight and they are both still slanted slightly inwards. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something I am missing? Thanks for the info.

So you have too much toe in? Why don't you take a couple threads off of both sides?

By take a few threads off do you mean, screw the tie rods on more, or cut some of the inner rods threaded section off?

At any rate though, the S14 tie rods should work w/out any modification correct? Thanks for the reply.

like, screw them a few more threads.

That's the problem, I have the ends screwed on as far as they will go and my front wheels are still doing this / \ though not as exagerated.

At any rate, does it sound like it is just something I am doing wrong? If that's the case, I'll just limp it to a shop as is and let them figure it out.

The threads are threaded all the way on? Undo some threads, make the tie rods "longer"

OK, cool. I suppose an alignment cost the same no matter what I'll do that then. I was just being cheap and trying to save myself the 50$ on the tow. Thanks for the help everyone.

Alignments are hard to do if you're just eyeing it, you need chalk, string, patience and a flat surface to do it on.

OK, so I guess just taking it to a shop is my best bet then. :hammer:
