here is the question...if the intake cam was off a tooth would i notice a difference in driving performance, timing, or anything else.?
the reason i ask this question is because i rebuilt my motor and i installed the timing chain myself..if the exhaust was installed correctly..and the cas was installed correctly my timing should be perfect...but if those are both correct and the intake cam was off the timing would still be correct right??
well i got the motor in and all that it runs smooth ...if i wasnt on boost it runs great..when im on boost it runs at about 5 lbs which is kinda low and doesnt feel like it has the kick like it should...
my buddy thinks that the timing on the intake chain might be off a tooth....thats why i ask you guys the question...but for me i think that if the intake side was off a tooth then my car wouldnt be running like it should it would be more of a rough drive or bogging or doesnt idle well...
so i was wondering if anyone would know and would like to help me out to figure if my intake cam was off a tooth..but the exhaust cam and the cas was installled properly would my car be running shitty or would i have the same problem i have now..with it running good but cant hit 7 lbs of boost....
please let me know...because i have the timing chain installed correctly on the top..but where it links up on the bottom where the yellow dot is i dont really know if i have that on correctly because i would have to take apart half of the motor to find out....
so please let me know asap!!! thanks..sorry for how long it is.....
