Hi,

i just recently purchased set of used nismo 740cc injectors..
and just wondering if it s recommended to get it cleaned and flow tested before i use them.
the seller told me it s been used for about 6000 miles.. and worked great.

but since it is main device for fuel delivery system.. i thought i should be lil more sensitive about it..
the appearence from outside looks great... but never know what s goin on internally until i get it tested... right?
so maybe it s a good idea to invest lil money to prevent from spending alot of money... tryin to fix it after it goes bad..

controversially,
i heard the injectors doesn't really go bad that easily..
why not save that money and invest on something else?

what do you guyz recommend?
i bought these for $300 and if i was to get it cleaned and tested,
i would probly end up spending same money as buyin a new set

oh..
and do i have to use the adjustable fpr for the 740s?

appreciate any suggestions or comments
thx

you dont need an AFPR but you will need some type of fuel management unit. I purchase new 560s for half of what your JDM used injectors cost you. you probably should have them cleaned and tested but it is really your call.

http://www.deatschwerks.com/

worth the money, however with only 6k miles those injectors should be fine imo.

theres denso service shops everywhere... try a diesel shop.... the service is roughly 22 bucks per injector... and all they do is flow test it first.... to get the numbers.. then drop it in a tank and vibrate the shit out of it so the gunk floats to the top and re flow them... to get the numbers again... usually the service comes with new o-rings and seals... so its best to take those off... before u get them serviced so u have extra...

oh.. for the fuel management..
i ordered the mega bikirom.. and borrowing my friends dynojet wideband.
been waiting for 2 weeks.. hopefully ...get it pretty soon

i had 550s w/ safc before.. and wanted lit more control w/ higher flow

wow where did you get your injectors? that s cheap!!

so no fpr? and i should get it cleaned??
where s the best place to get it cleaned?
deatschwerks? rc? etc...

rc is expensive..
they quoted $28.50/injector that s $120 plus shipping...

deatschwerks basic service is $12/ injectors that s $50 plus shipping..
not bad... ok.. maybe i should have them clean it..
anyone here got serviced by them?

oh.... thanks everyone

I use a Haltech so I run low impedence top feed injectors domestic injectors are hella cheap!

I am merely stating you dont need an AFPR stock fuel pressure is fine most of the people I have seen run stock pressure on thier AFPR anyway the reason people want to increase the pressure is to increase the amount of fuel going into the cyl without increasing injector pulse but with 740s you shouldn't need to worry about that, you get better fuel metering by controling pulse instead of pressure.

the only reason I am considering upgrading mine is because I am going to all -an and braided stainless for the fuel system and the stock FPR wont accomodate that.

nice..head..
haha
anyways thanks for your comments

random question.. thou
do you ever want to lower the pressure to decrease the flow?

another random...
what s the difference btw high and low impedence injectors?
high.. high v low i
low... low v high i what da.......???
so.. if my circuit uses low i.. i need to use high impedence injectors?
or have a resistor and use low impedence?
when do you want to use low?
thx!!
