Why don't you call Nissan and ask them? Usually the solid colored one is positive for most wire naming schemes. I don't have my FSM with me, but you can try searching freshalloy or something.

get a multimeter and test for some voltage (DC)

not really complicated... if the wiring on your new stereo is labeled and you have the installation instruction

and for the speaker .. just try .. if its works you have connected one

well that what i can say about stero installation Lol

Ps: i wish you have some spare fuse.. HÉhéhé

its pretty easy actually. Get a 9 volt battery. Where the speaker wires come out from the dash, where the head unit fits, take two wires. Put a wire up to a terminal of the 9 volt battery. now while holding the first wire on a terminal, do the other one. After a couple of combinations of wires you should hear a speaker pop. This is your negative and positive wires for that speaker that just popped. The negative wires have a stripe on them also. why just not get a wiring harness? hope this helps.

You would be surprised how hard it is to find such basic information. I feel your pain, having done this a few weeks back.
This worked for my 1991 fastback with the active amplified speakers

Right front + brown
Right front - brown/white

Left front + blue/white
Left front - blue/yellow
(be careful, these colors look close when faded)

Right rear + blue
Right rear - pink

Left rear + red
Left rear - green

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
Jeff

don't know the wire colors, but it sure is a good excuse to upgrade the crappy stock deck.
