I found these switches are very useless sinces my sr swap. They have no been useless for 4 years now, i figure i should put them to use.

I need a secondary electric fan, but i dont want to wire it up to thermostat fan switch as my battery is a light weight slim, and the second fan takes a lot of juice from the alt. I only need this fan for sitting in traffic, so id like to use a switch.

Does any one know any short cuts to wiring this up as an on/off switch for a fan.

thanks a lot!

Short answer: get an electrical relay. Follow the directions that come with it.

i wanted to do the exact same thing with my car for either the fans or something else... but each plug has ~6 wires in it. I pulled everything apart, but decided not to mess with it becuase i didnt want to cut all the wires. I would still do something if i knew i wasnt gonna mess anything up

i actually wired my fans to the a/c button on the climate control switch.. it doesnt matter how many wires are going to it all it will do is cut the ground so the circuit is split hence... off... just find two wires and cut all of the wires ran a constant/acc power to the fan and run the ground to the steering column and cut the ground spilce the ends and touch the on part to a wire and the other part of the ground to antoher wire and just screw around with it until you find the two wires that control it... ps it wont screw anytihng up or at least it didnt for me...
whats up nsn hows that maf plug doing for ya?
