ok I read a lot more than that yet I still could not find any answers for whats going on. with that said I have the same problem as a lot of these people do.

My batery keeps dying on me.

first my car died when I was getting gas and it was the alternator. fine I changed the alt. i charged the battery and off I went, happy camper for like 6 months. my battery dies on me. fine I change it. I still dont relate one thing to the other. 6 months later my battery dies on me again, I just think ok, bad batteries happen, like a lot of $#it, fine I go change it.
4 monts later i have to time my key rotation, otherwise it wont crank. fine I get used to it. i dont even whine about it and some day , after driving the car for like 5 hours straight from Santa barbara to San diego. my car dies in SD and I have to push start it. all good still Im on my way back to SB and it dies on me on the 5 at 5 pm on a sunday afternoon. SUX major...
my point bieng that. I've checked the power i get 14.4 charging when the engine is running.
but still there is something draining the battery. i dont know what it is. the only mod that I have on the car is HIDs which I NEVER leave on. not the dome light. not even the stereo. nothing, U just leave the alarm on, and ok I dont drie the car that much during week days since I live at school, but in the weekends I give it at least 6 hours.
I only saw 1 article that was relevant to my problem with a possible something that could help me . Im gonna try it but I really dontknow what else to do, what else could there be draining the battery?

I have no stereo mods
engine is bonestock, only a reman alt
no fog lights
stock ka24
234xxx miles
but still
i really dont know.
the one thread im talking about is the first one. if that doesnt work donno what to do , any ideas?

greatly grateful for sticking up to the end

sounds like u have a parasitic draw when the car is off and is draining your battery. also are u sure its the battery. does the accesories in the car work fine when your car wont start. also check for corrosion if i am correct corrosion causes parasitic draw as well and can be causing your battery to die as well. your chargin system seems fine, actually very good 14.4v. check these things and get back to me.

I dont like to tell people to pay someone else, but unless you are electrically inclined, it would be EASIER to take it to an electric speacalist.

It shouldn't cost more than 50 bucks, and you'll be done with it. JMO. Sorry i can't be of more help.

Id check/clean/replace all grounds in the engine bay. Last time I check, theres was a lot of corrosion/rust on most of them. Is the battery acutally dying or does it just not wanna start sometimes. A couple of times my car wouldnt start after just having it off for 5 mins and would start if I jumped it. Guess the starter just freezes up sometimes. Do you have an aftermarket alarm?

oh yeah..... Like asked above, is your battery actually DYING(as in not chargeable) or just running too low?

If its dying, and you keep going through them, maybe your alternator output is too high, or randomly spikes??

got a voltmeter?
-check surface discharge on the battery
-cable to post draw
-parasitic amperage draw

thanks for all the replies, now, I took the car to a mechanic, and he told me the alternator is fine, I checked it myself, the alternator is giving 14.4v when running, the terminals are clean. as for the parasitic drain, there really isnt anything there that could do it, I havent seen anything like some weird pealed cable going against somewhere in the chassis, which i should check, and if it is the case, it will take a long ass time and will prolly take more than 50 bucks.
witht that said I think i will check on the grounds and corrosion, but I dont see much rust or anything as of yet.

I do have After M alarm, and to be honest I dont know how to check if it is what is draining the battery, but still its weird because I had this problem before the alarm too.

the second battery I had in just died, the first one was running really low, and now with the third we'll see what happens, now I've started to notice that when I first installed my last battery(the one im running on right now) it started beautifully the first time. but now, about a week and a half later its starting to kinda having a lil trouble startin, like the other one, in the first post, I kinda have to put key in ignition, let all the stuff go on for like 5 seconds, let it all drain a lil power and then crank it.
so let me be a lil more descriptive on that,

key goes in
1st contact
- audio goes off
- power locks, lock
- V1 powers
- panel goes off, with all the car sounds.
and then I gotta give it about 2 more seconds and then crank it.

REAXION:
i do have a voltmeter
but I really dont understand any of those things or what they mean, or how to do them except parasitic amperage draw. which I guess I'll have o get on after finals...

I hate school, it takes valuable time I could spend with my car.
