I am planning on installing the greddy turbo kit (ka24de) on my car in the very near future and I just can't get over the fact that I will still be forced to run the stock catalytic converter that comes straight off the exhaust manifold. Has anyone out there replaced the stock cat with a downpipe, and put a highflow cat in the place of the dummy one on the car? My only concern is the O2 sensor located in the stock cat. I am thinking about 2 main scenarios for this though: 1) drill and tap the downpipe and run the o2 sensor into that, or 2) extend the O2 sensor wires and have it after the High flow cat now installed where the dummy one used to be. I know that the exhaust gas temp will probably be different though. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
