Ok I just bought some NGK Iridium IX plugs for my sr20det, part number
Bkr6eix. Would these be ok to run at around 8psi? The guys at Oreilys thought I was stupid or something for trying to use Iridums on a turbo car. Here is what one of the dudes said "Iridums... on a turbo car?? I had a Turbo Eclipse... I know what i'm talking about". So yeah are these plugs alright... is the heat range 6 ok? Also these don't need to be gapped, right? Thanks alot any imput would be great.

The thing is, NEVER listen to parts store guys if you have gone into the store already having done your research. When I must go to a parts store, I usually ask for what I want by part number and never tell them what car I will be putting it on, and I do not drive my car to the store, if I don't have to.

tell him its for a diesel motor. He'll have fun finding those spark plugs ;)

But seriously, part store guys don't know too much.

Sometimes it can't be helped. Sometimes I would give them a part number, and instead of running the number, they ask for the application. I think some stores have a policy of checking so dumbass customers don't ask for refund when they get the wrong part.

Get a good store that knows you and stick with them, or find an OEM application and give them that to get them off your back. I know it's not likely with iridium, but for other parts in general.
