View Full Version : Adjusting the TPS

For those that have known about my KA-T problems, me and a couple of friends decided to pull out my intake manifold, weld up the EGR, and swap out the throttle body for a different one, with a 2 month old TPS on it.

Anyways, the reason is because my car somewhat bogs in lower RPM's, (maybe from 1-3k?) and it's not a smooth ride unless you're trying really hard to drive it smoothly. According to the SAFC2, my car read 62% throttle at WOT on my old throttle body, and now that everything has been changed, it still reads the same.

Here about comes the question.. how exactly do I adjust it? I searched around, but didn't find such a clear answer about how you are to do so. All I read is something about voltage, etc. I just need to get it fixed so that it'll read 100% throttle on the SAFC2 when it's truly at WOT.

If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know. I'm basically clueless up to this point, and I hope that after this throttle problem is solved, that my car'll be fixed, and running up to par.

*EDIT: I forgot to mention that it's a 98 240sx.

there are two screws I believe that you loosen and you just move it up and down. with the car just in ignition, loosen the screws and keep the throttle to the floor(friend or a brick) and adjust the tps until it reads 100%. I have never had any trouble, but that seems like a logical way to do it imo.

The stock voltage should read around .45 volts.
