I'm working on swapping a redtop into my 90 hatch. Everything is connected up, but I have no spark. I tried testing by getting a screwdriver near the end of the coil and cranking, but there is no spark, no matter how close I get to the end of the coil.

I tested the voltage to the coil packs, and the results are:

1 - .43v
2 - 4.3v
3 - .36v
4 - 1.2v

I'm thinking they should be at a higher voltage... possibly 12v...?? Anyone??
I tested my ignitor chip in a friend's running sr20, and it worked fine. My coilpacks are good at 1ohm.

Also, I checked the voltage to the MAF, it is at +12v instead of +5v like what I thought it should be.

Anyone... anyone??

Hey did you figure out your problem, because I am having the same problem right now ....

ok well first off take a coil pack and stick it with a spark plug in it to the intake manifold and check for spark then. if you do not have spark, get a pinout of the ecu and wire diagrams (cough, fsm, cough) and start shooting wires. go from your ecu to your ignitor chip and make sure you have good continuity, its only four wires, then go from your ignitor to your coil packs and do the same. you are supposed to have 12 volts and 5 volts to the maf, the 5 is for the signal, white, wire. also check your grounds on the coilpack harness the ground to the back of the head, and the grounds on your intake manifold.
