So it turns out that my valve cover gasket was leaky becuse the PO stipped out the front corner bolt hole
I already have the cover and new gaskets on fine. The only prblem is the front corner bolt only has about 3 ftlbs on it.
Should I leave it and hope it works or can I retap the hole without removing the cover again?

Well, it isn't leaking. Unless it leaks over the long term, I'm just gonna leave it.
my front right corner bolt doesnt even hold down and i have no leak whatsoever.
but helicoil is yer friend :)

those threads are very weak and people overtorque them all the time ruining the threads. it might not leak, try it

Both front bolt holes are stripped on mine too. It doesn't leak enough to worry about, just wipe off the upper timing cover every once in a while.

I just drove it and it doesn't leak. I guess I'll watch it on my nect roadtrip and see from there.
I really didn't care about the outter gasket. It's the spark plug gasket that I really cared about and it's good to go :)

Your engine is going to blow up now... It is unbalanced and will blow up if you drive like that....
To fix it, just buy a helicoil kit for a couple bucks, and be done with it.(plus, its good to have, and know how to use) or just leave it alone...It prolly wont even leak....

The stock gasket is pretty thick and will not leak oil unless you are missing quite a few bolts. I am missing about 3 and my car does not leak.
