I never thought I would have to post this but this guy did me dirty.. i was in the market for a new clutch and having met him on Zilvia he said he could help me out so with good hopes I trusted him with my car letting him install my clutch i gave him as much time as he needed 2 days later he gives me back my car with a whining clutch and unbled lines, my car barely made it home i called him and he claimed that he would take care of it but i haven't recieved a phone call from him yet. I know most can argue and say why couldn't you just do it yourself? well not like everyone I never learned how to fix everything on my car since i'm still learning.. I gave him 300 dollars for the clutch and labor and all i ask is that he returns some of it so i can fix my car and have running correctly this is my daily driver and its all i have my transportation is running slim..

i've tried contacting him on his cell all weekend and no answer.. im pretty sure he blocked me from his AIM.. I went to his house the day we agreed to meet up so i can get my money back and his parents said he had left for the weekend i don't mean to start drama but all i ask is for some of the money back and this will be over with! stop running away from your problems and deal with it like a man :bash:

so how did the car bearly get home? my mechanic friend told me a whining can be associated with a new clutch, so give it some time to be properly broken in.

My car barely wanted to start at the gas station when i drove it home.. i mean yeah you offered to fix it but it wasn't what we agreed on i needed my car back the next day and i let you keep it for two so during that time i would have thought you would have done a decent job i mean this is my only car i do have to get to school and work but all you asked was for the money.. you couldn't even be generous to give me a call back or message me even though you were doing "personal things" you could've made the effort to reach me i mean yeah your busy til june but you can't take 5 min of your time to at least work something out between us so things aren't like this?

If you're car doesn't want to start, it has nothing to do with the clutch.

yea starting your car has nothing to do with the clutch, unless you're trying to start it in gear.

give the guy the benefit of the doubt. dont hate on him just yet. Give the car a week or so, adn if the whingin goes away so be it.

But the only clutches that normally whine when installed properly are twin plates. And they have the ever so groovy sound that only a twin plate makes.

It is very well that he could have mesed up, everyone does it. I broke a 25,000 Aircraft part the other day and ive been doing it for 3 years.

But before you start talking shit, evaluate the situation, adn let it ride for a little bit guys.

if its clutch chatter its because it wasnt broken in yet, try checkin out that clutch button thing where it gets pressed down when u press the clutch pedal...it might be stuck.. if theres play in ur pedal then bleed it.... i never bleed the lines unless i opened it... more then likely u might need a new slave if ur pedal feels all goofy..

i had to release the pressure a bit because the slave clyinder was extended. when i was putting it on the trany... i was running short on time so i told him..i would do it tomorow or something... since this was like 9pm and he need the car back asap... the clutch was just slighty slofter than what he was use to because he had a bran new master and slave

maybe his master and slave was not OEM, and that could be causing his problems. i've had a mc go out on me after a few days because it wasnt OEM

You want your money back? From what i read, i don't see anything that he did wrong besides not bleed the clutch. But the situation doesn't involve me so its just my opinion.

Not biased in anyway!!!
....But teh workmanship is in question. And whenever someone questions my workmanship, I have no problem quadruple checking in front of them, as long as they pay for teh time. No fault clause.

Sounds like a a bleed would do the trick, if the clutch stays partially engaged when the clutch pedal is down, the car WOULD be dificult to start. Was the flywheel turned? Did you replace the clutch cover as well as the disk? Could also be a bad disk. I had one come apart once. It made a whirring noise, and would drag with the clutch pedal to the floor.
