i just finished my swap... or so i thought lol. me and my dad did the wiring ourselves and it wasnt fun. we finally got passed all of our problems and this seems to be the last with the wiring. on my buddies s14 when he has the car off but the key turned with power to the car, hes getting power to the sensor. weve checked all of our wires and the wiring from the ECU to the throttle postion sensor and there isnt any power from it so its somewhere before the ecu. any suggestions? hellllp

make sure the ecu plug is SUPER tight. not really super but just make sure its all the way down. do you have any mods? safc will tie into it, thats why i ask. just get a volt meter and trace wires as far as you can.

Zach, looks like you got off your ass. YAHOO!!!
Here is a list of things I and Zach's Dad tried on the car.
1. Tested the ECU to make sure it will fire up another S13 SR
OK
2. Confirmed that the Ingiator Chip will Fire
OK
3. MAF is getting Power and has a good ground
OK
4. Timing set and Crank angle sensor lined up.
OK
5. Confirm that Injector have power.
OK
The T.P.S. isn't getting power cause when the motor is running and you give the car gas the car bogs like it is getting way to much gas. The car is stock. :wtf:
NO Turbo timer
NO Boost Controller
NO AVCR
NO Power-FC
Bone Stock!
Oh and for Zach....
My S14 brings all the Kids to the yard and their like, "Its better then yours!" :naughtyd:

lol samad always thinking he the hottest brown guy around haa. its getting ugly u might wanna stop back by becuz now my dad noticed the reason its only running on 3 cilinders = bad injector = nooooooo! so that and we dont think the oil pump works becuz the cams were pretty dry and we turned it a few times and the turbo squeeked.... not good. HELLLLLP! and yes no mods. no oil to turbo and no oil to cams.

if there is a short somewhere between the ecu and the tps, cut the wire as far up as you can trace is, solder a new wire, run it to the tps, solder to tps side, start her up.
Or, pull the harness back through the firewall, trace the wire, find the culprit. fix it.
make sure the tps itself isnt bad.
