Okay, my first time ever at a drag strip, in a 92 s13 hatchback stock ka24de with a megan racing exhaust, i managed to pull a 15.7 Is that about what should be expected to run? Here is my time slip:
r/t..... .542
60..... 2.40
330...... 6.717
1/8....... 10.239
mph........71.02
1000....... 13.241
1/4...... 15.738
mph....... 88.62
Any one else do better then this with just an exhaust?

When I ran with my stock automatic KA, with no muffler, gutted interior, and 17" rims.. I ran a 17.339 @ 79MPH
I dialed in at 17.6 though, so I lost 'cuz I broke out. HAHA

The best time you can do with a stock KA with a stock lsd is 15.4 (STOCK EVERYTHING)
With some minor mods like , exaust, headers, better tires and suspension, timing advance 15.3 easily... I can wait to try it! My friend did 15.4 so I suppose if I let him drive my car he'll do better. He had a fastback, mine is a coupe so less weight too!

I wanna try and get to high 14's. Not with power though. Just some fine tuning.

I would launch the car around 3,500 if i went any higher i would just spin. My clutch is slipping slightly so i need to get my new clutch installed soon.

Did you ever think about the power to weight ratio. Mustangs weigh like 3700lbs!!

Interestingly enough, a 240sx w/KA & I/H/E mods is just as fast as a B16 Civic, while still being a heck of alot more fun (RWD y0). . . . Kinda makes you wonder why the B16 was ever a popular swap since it is very expensive.

My buddy Tre ran a 14.963 with a near stock KA24DE. All he has is intake, headers and exhaust.
My first was last week. Best of the 6 runs:
R/T .304
60: 2.299
330: 6.309
1/8: 9.650
MPH: 73.75
1000: 12.529
1/4: 14.963
MPH: 93.12
I/H/E Tuning. Sripped HB with a shitty vlsd

just wondering, you guys running these good 1/4 times, what's your compression on your motors?
no idea. the engine is my car only has 65k miles on it. chasis has 240k.
Soon to get 4 engines(hopefully) and a shell ^_^

And you guys use street tires? Launch at approximately 3.5?
yes street tires. I like to try and launch at 3 or below. Anything above 3 sees redline till traction is caught which is mainly around 2nd gear shift
mi best time on the trak been 16.6 with header intake exaust... but we are too high for a N/A o heard in level sea your car go down 1 second, diference from where the place i live... that means i must be around 15.6 i did a new mods on my car lately, y will go to the trak sunday will keep it posted =P
i weld my diferential too hope get better lunches =P

Elevation is the main factor hear in the difference between the 1/4 mile times that are posted. Zilvia members in the rockies will run worse times than those located in Tampa :)

what are most of your guy's 60' times? How much better do you think i could get the 60' fts down to?

I've seen an s14 on nico that ran 14.5 with i/h/e, cams, ecu, open diff, and 17inch neogen's. I also seen an 89 single cam allmotor that ran a 13.9, but it was high comp pistons, slicks, stand alone ems.

Here's my slow time on a g-tech pro ss (1991 240sx hatch)
60'......... 2.599:eek:
0-60...... 7.407mph
300'....... 6.821
1/8 ....... 12.257
1/8 mph.. 73.53
1000'...... 13.190
1/4......... 15.659
1/4 mph.. 90.98
I was reviewing the g-tech and noticed that I released the gas pedal at 15 secs flat(can't see 1/4 mark on the road), I was shifting around 7600rpm(no rev limit mystery, should shift at 6700-6800), and I launched at 5000 spinning the whole 1st gear(nervous, street racing, see 60').
car: 1991 240sx hatch
parts: i/h/e, OPEN DIFF, 225/50/15 nationals(suck)
With a kaaz lsd, bfg drag radials, and better driving, I should easily do some mid to high 14's on this set-up.
a 240k mile vlsd = pretty much open. I belive only my right tire spins. Like i have an 80/20 split of power deliverance.
I was running 205/60/15's Futura Touring HR
I belive the cheapest tire ont he market LOL
