my 240sx died on me the other day, no power at all. my friend gave the car a jump. on the freeway my car started sounding like a go kart ,i had to cruise at 5 -10 mph because thats all the car would give me.
i got the battery replaced and the car started fine ,no prob.
now 3 weeks later the motherfker wont start with the first key turn..it take s 2 or 3 now :wtf:
at times when i doesnt start, i can hear some clicks. i turn the key again n its starts. what do i need to fix, replace??

First check your charging system to make sure it is putting out the proper voltage. Than check your starter.

i am also having a similar problem, mine hated cold starts. It would take me cranking it for a second, then turning the key back off and then cranking it again 2 or 3 times, even more in winter, and i too also hear clicking sometimes. I swapped the fpr cuz it started cutting on stock boost, it is fine now until around 14 lbs, then it cuts a little but not bad. I have a stock sr with a greddy profec b spec 2 bc,255 walbro, fmic, and have a e5 black top ecu, i need any input also not to but in. Could this have anything to do with grounds on the motor, i was told you need atleast 3.

Start the car, use a volt meeter at the batt, you should get at least 13v's at the batt. Make sure your post are clean and tight. That will get you going, and you aren't spending anything, yet.LOL

your alternator could be going, starter, battery... check to make sure all your positives and grounds on all 3 of those things are secure. I had the same problem with my SR, my batterys negative cable had a loose connection and my alt ground was loose. check your alt fuse under the hood too, the 75 amp clear one.

Yeah when my car tries to start my starter does tend to hang a little. I'll check it out today.
