View Full Version : Good news (for you all) and bad (for me)..

First of all, if any of you are looking to buy a 240, but don't mind driving an automatic, you should check out the red one on eBay in Fresh Meadows, NY (Long Island). I went to look at it last week, and the thing is quite possibly the most beautiful 240 I've ever seen.
The pics don't do it justice - the thing is prestine inside and out.
Although, it is automatic.
Whatever - depends what you want.

Anyway, I have nothing to do with it's sale. I am offering this merely as a friendly suggestion.

Now for the bad news. The reason I looked at it, and the reason I'm letting you know all it's there is my girlfriend considered buying it, and then didn't. We went out to look at it and drive it, and were thrilled. He happens to be asking a little much for her though, and she decided she might not want a 240 anyway with their impracticality and all, I guess. At least she thought about it, right?

Then again, she thought about it and what she thought was "no". Hmmm. What kind of girl is this? I mean, it's not like she wanted a convertible instead (snicker) - she just didn't want a 240.

I think I should break up with her.

EDIT: Oh, it's a cherry red '91 fastback SE. I forget how many miles, but I want to say 86k. It has a custom red & black interior which looks nice if you like red, but is removable if you don't. He's done a few other things, but for specific mods and price, you should probably talk to him directly. Like I said, I have nothing to do with this sale.

I think I know who your talking about. I'm pretty sure he came to one of the LI meets not too long ago. I think he had a stock looking exhaust but it was actually HKS? It had some simple 5 star alloys(not a real name brand rim company, but still decent looking). OBX shorty, and if I remember correctly it had about 46K original miles on it. The previous lady who owned it kept it garaged all year round. Did the guy have red hair Jeff? If we're talkin about the same guy here then I can vouch for this cars immaculate condition.

Nope, it wasn't either of those. It's this one...

...the auction ended (way) below his reserve though. Seriously, someone buy this car. And, if you're a chick, I'll leave my girlfriend for you.

(Why am I not buying it myself, you ask? It's not a convertible, it's not black, and it's not manual. But I certainly wouldn't mind riding shotgun.)
