I am resting after that hard work of taking my driveshaft off. Well anyway just wondering what kind of pets you guys own. Heres mine...

Yeah hes a fat APBT but hey hes only 6 months, I over fed him so he can grow strong. I will start weight training him when hes about a year. Weight training dogs during their first year can screw up their growth. Hes our outside dog.

i wouldnt sell the turtle alone since its illegal to sell under (5-6inches). ;) . let me know

I have a turtle like this i bought at a swap meet in LA. How long did it take for it to get 3 inches big??


if you feed it the staple diet(green can box thingy) it will grow VERY fast. my cousins is about 7 inches already and it took him about 8-9 months.

i somewhat spoiled mine in the beginning and fed them treats. so they didnt grow fast, but now they are strictly on the staple diet and are growing fast.

if u need more turtle info. go on petturtle.com. they have all the crazy info u need to raise a turtle properly.

My cousin had a ferret, its funny because they ARE illegal, but ever pet store you goto in CA has ferrt supplies. You can just goto Nevada and buy one there and take it home.
Its funny how ferrets walk, because they actuall kinda hop. My cousin ferret use to follow him around the neighborhood without a leash and his neighbors would say, "theres a rat chasing you!"

Yes they are illegal here in CA, I got him at a PETCO in RENO, NV and just snuck him back on the drive home. They have a ferret isle/area in most pet stores for food and supplies but you have to go to pickey vets that will treat ferrets and won't trip or report them in CA.

Both were given to me as stray kittens. Homer was found half dead, scared, and starved on a farm in Iowa. He had flees, ear mites, worms, and was barely alive. I had him for 8 years now, and hes still somewhat anti-social and gets frightened easily.

Hera was walking around a truck loading dock in LA, and came up to my brother while he was waiting to get loaded. He gave her some food, and she wouldn't leave him. She was walking around black top pavement in the middle of summer, so her paws were burnt and even her whiskers were singed. He gave her to me after she made the 2200+ mile trip to Illinois in his truck. She was completely starved, and it took several months before she built up some fat, and she also had worms. At first i thought it was some kind of imbred rodent, but she turned out to be an awesome cat.

Ecchan is a southern painted turtle. He is shedding his shell right now, makes him look like a steggosaurus. sake and marbles are now allowed outside. Yep, I have a 65 gallon freshwater tank in my living room. Right now its full of peacefull community fish but Im also rasing a Jack Dempsey in it as well. My new apartment will house my first saltwater tank. The fish are much more expensive but they look so much better than the bland FW fish. Think Im gonna go with a 39 gallon reef set up. Tiger Fish=Win

You need to consider when building a "plant tank" the kinds of fish you put in it. I would set up my tank first and let it settle for atleast a month before you put any fish in there. That will give you time for algae to grow. Small schools of community fish would look best in there. Silver Dollars perhaps. Dont go agressive cause they tend to dig up gravel.

If I was going with all those plants I personally would wait atleast a few weeks but maybe thats just me. Turtles huh. Got any pictures? I love salt water tanks but the salt build up around the top of the tank can be a pain. Not only that but having to constantly monitor water conditions sucks.

With fresh water its basicly just plug and play lol. I add a little sea salt to my fresh water tank every now and then for the fish. I dunno if thats good for all the plants you want in there though. Cant wait to start my salt water project!

I'm sure it would smell if they pissed all over the place, but they're all well trained and we clean their litter boxes quite often(you have to when two cats share a box). Since two of them aren't ours, the other roommate takes care of their boxes which are at opposite sides of the apartment. Exactly, it's all about how the owner maintains them. Cats clean themselves mostly, so there's not much to do except make sure they don't roll around in anything and that their boxes are clean if they're inside cats.

Haha, yea they're great. Charlie is pretty shaggy, with the pictures available you can't really tell. If you were to break it down. Charlie has the Size/Colors of a Rawt & Tail/Furryness of the Husky. He really is the sweetest thing, but if he doesn't know you be careful... He has the fierceness of a Rawt and the protectiveness of a Husky (most protective of its terf/property/area) and if you pass his line, he will protect... Unfortunately he bit my Ex-Girlfriend, but she had no reason to go into the back of my house that day, and I really don't know what she was doing.

I will get some more/better pics of both, I just got to be quick about it, if they notice that camera....:hyper: I will try to get some of my cats too, that should be easy... lazy Arses..

adopted her today :) i have a friend who works at the shelter who gives me a call when new puppies arrive. i was on my way there just randomly to check out the new dogs, and she gives me a call and tells me someone just dropped her off. i was like 5 minutes away. its faith. 2 1/2- 3 month old pitbull. of course shes not ready to be taken from the shelter because of shots and stuff, but my friend said they were trying to get it done today so i can take her home ASAP!

im excited. i havent had a puppy/dog since highschool. im a little rusty on my training so ive been reading my old training books! i hope im a good enough owner for her.

yeah it should be alright, just as long as you ran it with hot water for a while. you should buy the water conditioner for the water from a local petstore to make sure.

I think they wont do it after a certain age...like 4 months or so? ***Edit***
Docking is really no big deal when done correctly in the first days of life. It is 100% painless after the first 30 seconds.

So it is the same as other breeds with tail docking and needs to be done w/in the first days of life. You will probably find it REALLY hard to find a vet to do it now, as your baby is well into her puppy months and already separated from her litter mates and mom. Now they only reason a vet would do it is for a medical reason, and if they were willing to do it for aesthetic reasons at her age, I would question their integrity.

you should just keep trying to call people around town. LA has plenty of places to get them cropped. i called a few people around my area when i first got my pup, and found plenty of them with plenty of different prices. there is a good vet in Temecula/Riverside that only does crops and docking.
