The Fast and the Furious 3 Meet

For those of you who don't know. We had a meet at the Block of Orange for the 1st movie and were pretty impressed with the results. We had two rows of 45 cars, a full row +1 of MKIV Supras, and a bunch of 300zx's and 3000gt's, etc. With a total of about 175 people attending the movie. And we raffled off probably $1500 in prizes.

For the 2nd movie we had about 300 people and close to 200 cars. 90+ MKIV Supras and everything from Skylines to Diablo's roll out.
I was late to my own meet driving straight from the body shop, so the cars were not organized in any fashion, and I think we gave raffled off some pretty cool stuff again.

Having not really driven my Supra since the last F&F meet, I'm not overly excited to do a meet... But due to popular demand (increasing calls, emails and PM's) I figured that I'd better get on the ball and at least post up something. (EDIT: But having typed up synopsis's of the last 2 meets, I'm actually kind of getting excited about doing another meet.)

Date: June 16th ~6pm or 17th ~12 noon
Location: TBD in OC (Most Likely the Block at Orange)

In past years, I've bought up several hundred tickets and we've gone to opening night shows... But there has always been the option of renting out an entire theater on Saturday mid-morning. I still like the idea of opening night, but thought I'd post a poll to determine interest.

Hey guys,

I saw the movie at the cast and crew perimer last night at Universal City and i gotta say it was surprising. It was hands down better than the first 2 movies. little bow wow was not overly stupid and didn't even play that big of a part in the movie. also there is a surprise at the end where "someone " shows up ans sets up fast and furious 4. you might already know about it if you saw some of the trailers that they are already showing.
also as for the meet on the 16th we are also bringing some of the cars from the movie as well as some of the actors might show up to see the movie with the fans. so bring your cameras!

Now ff4 hasn't gotten the final "ok" yet they want to see if this movie continues to bring in the people but this movie hands down isn't as GAY as the last 2. there are no big sponsor stickers everywhere and the drifting sences were acually pretty good. alot more action and less talking about blowing welds on the intake manifold.LoL!! all in all a good movie if your a car guy. I know I worked on the movie so my opinon doesn't count but i acually thought I was not going to like it, but i did.
so just keep your minds open and remember that movies are just to entertain. so if you have a chance go to the meet in orange on friday, come to see some really kool cars with some kool people. And please no burn outs in the parking lot!! thats why we always get shut down and everybody else suffers.

SSSHHHHHHHH!! you just ruined it! Nah, there is a suprise in the ending but I have already seen trailors on TV showing " the surprise " already. I thought that sucked because It would have been a really kool to find out when seeing the movie.

The meet starts at 6pm from what i'm told but we are setting up the cars at i think 5pm. so just get there when you can no rush, I think we will be there most of the night. If not with the cars, having a couple of drinks at D&B.
The supra guys have already got permission and worked it out with security at the block. They will also be there to watch over the cars from what i'm told. There will also be a bunch of different representitives there so think of this as a unofficial industry day.

Yeah the same night, but I think i'll watch that next week, gotta represent our work in the movie. That movie does look funny though, I love Jack Blacks work!:hsdance:




Again I hope to see everyone there, and for you guys worried about 240's getting too much play, there isn't really that many silvias in the movie. mostly just S15's You will see others in the background but they aren't driving all crazy. I would be more worried about 350z's getting to much play from this movie. But there will be alot more people exsposed to drifting so....... we'll have to see.

yea but broke ass kids cant afford 350zs.. so they'll buy older cars like 240sx, rx7s, corollas, etc.. unless they are the fortunate ones who can get mommy and daddy to buy them a 350z
