I have some decent wheels that I have no idea of the brand. All I know is that they are 16x7f and 16x8r. OK, the wheels are 7" & 8" wide respectively at the point where the tire bead would mount inside the rim, but there is another 7/16 of rim between where the tire bead mounts (on the inside of the rim) and the outer edge of the rim. So take the rear wheels for instance, are they 8" wide because that is the distance across where the tire mounts, or are they basically 9" (8+7/16+7/16= 8 7/8) because that is the width of the entire rim from edge to edge? I am trying to figure out what offest the wheels are, and I don't know what width to use for the rim and where to take the offset measurement (either the farthest most edge of the rim or to where the tire bead sits on the rim).
