For those that have or had use ebay gauges(the one that cost 100 for four), are they realiable, do they break or mulfuntion with in couple of weeks? is it better off to spend extra $$ to get the brand name one. please need your inputs before i buy. thanks guys:bowdown:

If you're considering them, I take it your budget is not going to include Defi, etc.
Good guages offer better reliability, accuracy, and quality. Nuff said. Cheap guages are notorious for reading innacurately. I mean, i monitor my car's heart (the engine) through various temp and pressure guages. I would hate to freak out just b/c the guage wasn't calibrated precisely. Or even worse, think everything is ok, even when oil pressures are low, or water temps are showing too cool. Or the best.. BOOST gauge that reads too low (or high). WTF is that crap?
Guages are your only way to monitor that vital stuff, its the only feedback you get until something blows, overheats, etc. If you wanna skimp out..well, I would rather save up for Defi/GReddy?etc... That's me.

Good one lol!!
2 years ago I bought EL guages from Ebay, they are some of the nicest guages iv'e ever seen cost 24-30 bucks each, and a OBX boost guage for 60$
the oil pressuer guage looks like it's on acid, jumps up and down non-stop even where the car is idling,,, i know its fucked up..
and the boost guage doesnt even light up.. no motion at all.. i actually had them proffessionally installed at a local shop that does wiring..
...piece of shit... the other ones i didnt even try to install.. so wont say anything about..

I have the Blitz BLM's in my car. One day I tried a buddies Shucks boost guage and it was off by 4lbs

you get what you pay for
if u want some good stuff, the greddy ones on ebay are always cheap and of great quality. can score some good deals there
i wouldnt cheap out on gagues, personally. and i didnt.
i love my DEFI BF
I had an autometer pro-comp boost gauge and even that was off. Do your research, and find out exactly how important having accurate monitoring is to you and your engine. Let's put it this way. A few months ago, having a good oil pressure gauge could have saved me $2k on a new engine.
