I have searched on this forum and I have not found exactly what I am looking for.

Oil is leaking from my valve cover. I have changed the gasket twice, applying silicone the second time. It is still leaking. Yes, my mechanic cleaned and scrubbed all excess dirt from the cover and engine. bolts are torqued to spec, etc.

Does anyone know why this is still happening and whats the solution?

Thanks!

where is it leakig from?

around the edges? the bolts on the top ? ... or the bolots on the side?

it could be a small gap that your missed silicone or the silicone didn't set right.

you only apply rtv to the little half moon shaped rubber stoppers

as for the rest, you have to make sure it seats properly.

check for warpage. get a straight edge and check for warpage witht he cover off... make SURE it is leaking from your valve cover first
