so i need suspension for my s14. i have coilovers on my s13, but the s14 will not see the track, just the drag strip so i am going to use shock/spring. i have decided to go with KYB AGX, but what spring should i run with them for best handling?

leave it a little soft for drag strip.

just go with some lowering springs. cuz those springs will never see what rates that you'll hit with track use springs :P

Search around. Top right. Start off by searching "Tein" "lowering springs" "RSR Down" or stuff like that. It's all there. Good hunting.

i have searched but everytime this topic comes up people end up getting ripped because they arent buying coilovers and it usually just turns into a pissing match. just wondering what people that actually have a good setup right now have to say about it.

The only problem with that is that you aren't them, so what they say could be completely different from what you experience if you buy their setup. Generally if you really don't want coilovers then people go with AGX and S-Tech. Or AGX and RSR. Or AGX and Whiteline. It's pretty much whatever you want. You can look in the archive/faq section to look at spring rates for a lot of different springs. Also try different forums. http://www.freshalloy.com/ is a good source. Most of them would say coils too though.

yeah well i am just over cautious before i a make a purchase. i dont see any point in coils for this car though, and i can do a good strut/spring combo for about half the price of the cheapest coilovers. thats just money i can spend on something else you know. ok well i guess agx and s techs are probably the way im gonna go, thanks for the input.

Same deal for me, I might look into the Tein H techs (luxury) and some agx's.

How much are they combined?

When I priced, I think it was like $100 more for Tein Basic coilovers. (I forgot what springs I was going to get, but I actually had bought AGXs already)

i can get the agx's for around 300 and the s techs for 100. i know a bunch of guys with maximas that use the h techs and hate them.
