The first time I got my oil changed in my 98 s14, I purchased a bottle of Eagle One Wet Shine tire cleaner.  Hands down, it has been the best tire cleaner I have ever used.

So it was with enthusiasm that I purchased Eagle One - Wax As U Dry.  I purchased it to see if it would really work, and also to try anything that would save me the time of waxing.  I picked up the bottle for $3.97 and was on my way to wash the car.

My car was rather dirty, so I washed it very thouroghly to make sure it was nice and clean before I used this stuff.  I read the directions and warnings on the bottle, shook it madly (not stirred..as directed) and went to work.  I sprayed the whole car, then got my towel and began to dry.

On the back of the bottle, I read that the product was safe for all surfaces on the vehicle including glass, so I did not hesitate to spray it on the windows.  When I went to dry them, what I found was that the wax compound in the product created a smearing effect on the glass.  I was not impressed at this point, however, I continued to dry.

When completed, I looked over the paint, felt it and rubbed along it.  Just as it would after waxing for two hours with Meguiars, the paint was smooth and clean.  I looked at it from across the way, and I couldn't even see the car in the reflection of the sky and everything around it.

This product worked great on my paint, and the car looks better than it has since I bought it a year ago.  My only warning would be to keep it away from the windows.  When finished I had to windex each one.

Interesting. Sounds like good stuff. Thanks for the review. My only complaint with these types of products (e.g. hydrowax, etc) is that they don't last long.

I highly recommend Meguiar gold class wax. It gives your paint a very reflective shine. It's as if the wax does both polishing and waxing. Very good stuff.

I was wondering about that stuff but I went with the Mother's all out wash/wax

1. Wash with Mother's Target Wash then dry
2. Mother's Clay Bar for the whole car
3. Mother's Cleaner/Polisher
4. Mother's Shiner or something like that
5. Mother's Carnuba wax
Total Time: 6 hours

Being able to see your reflection like a mirror in the paint: priceless

See, I just don't have six hours like that. &nbsp; And I hate waxing and spending that much time outside circling the car. &nbsp;Maybe after I get my house and have a more personal space to work in that's closer to my house and stuff, it will be different. &nbsp;I would like to try that sometime.

I used to detail as a side job back in HighSchool....there is no quick fix for a true detail. The best source to find out what works is the old school Hot Rod guys and Lowrider guys..these are the guys who really know how to take care of paint. (of course I don't wash the 240 though.)

Klasse and Zaino Bros is still the best stuff i've used....off the shelf stuff from Pep Boys are for Mom's minivan.

I use eagle one interior cleaner... it works so great on plastic. It kinda smells like vanilla, but doesn't work on tires (supposed to be all in 1).

I spent about $8 on it (canadian)... its the best interior cleaner i've ever bought.

Here are a few more great products

Meguires tire gel, great stuff, lasts for like 2 weeks if there is no rain, your tires keep that "wet look forever"

Turtle Wax Tire Gel (Trilicone) This stuff rocks, costs too much but whatever, lasts longer than meguires.

Eagle 1 all in one wax... blows. Doesn't come off the car right, actually seemed abrasive enough to leave swirls of its own.

Mothers 3 step formula... Again, a great product and much cheaper than it's meguires counterpart, which I have yet to have tried. Only need step 1 like once a year, but step 2 (the polish) and step 3 (the wax) are both good products... but for wax I would go with

Meguires Gold Class Great shine, but doesn't last as long as some, and is one of those real "elbow greasers" to remove. Even with the buffer it can take a while... so I prefer

Zymol Wax.. its bluish green, it smells great, and it seems to work really well too, it left a nice NICE finish, filled more hairline cracks than any of the other waxes, and it smells great too.

Orange Glow Cleaner: For general degreasing, cleaning (and safe anywhere, never removed a spec of pain, and is safe for plastic surfaces) this stuff is great. You can dilute it, it doesn't hurt your hands like Castrol Super Clean, and it won't melt through your plastic like some of the other cleaner. Word to the wise, dilute it 10:1... it works just as good, and be in a well ventilated area, cause this stuff smells orangy... but nobody can take this much orange at once.

Castrol Superclean: Brutal stuff, will strip paint if you leave it on too long, but if you want something to scrub your tires fast, or to get the really stubborn shit of your rims, this stuff works great. But it is more of a put on take off in a few minutes thing, cause it is hard on rubber surfaces.. but this + Trilicone = show qual wheels for like a week.

(can you tell I spend way too much on cleaning products <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> )

please let us know how long it lasts, thats what i'm really interested in. &nbsp;i'll probably go pick up a bottle anyway because i just don't have the time to actually wax my car and i still want it to look decent. &nbsp;did it do anything at all for swirl marks and surface scratches?

My car has very few scratches and no swirls. &nbsp; The scratches it does have are small enough that they're hard to see, but they're deep.

The paint still looks great today, and I notice that it's doing a better job of repelling dirt behind the tires. &nbsp;I drove all day today and usually I would have a dirt buildup behind my rear and front tires, but today I still have none.

I'm really liking this product. &nbsp;Apprarently, though, I should have only used it on my moms' mini-van cuz that highschool guy said so.

I said when i was in HighSchool I used to detail....and yes off the shelf products are designed for ease of use and for people that don't have the time to actually detail their cars.

With the amount of trophies I've won I'm pretty sure I know what it takes to make a car look good.
