The surrounding neighbors have complained numerous times and it is SERIOUS. To make things worse about 5-7 wannabes showed up there last Thur. night and decided to ruin it for EVERYONE by drifting up and down while owners, sheriff's deputies, and city officials witnessed the wrecklessness drifters can bring on the street first hand! Basically altamont has recieved multiple complaints of drifting. They think it is related to us. We need to do our best to show altamont, the neighbors, and the city that we are on the same level as the professional drivers, and that we deserve to compete at this world class facility.

Attention!!! We have a serious issue. People have been drifting on Midway Road leading up to Altamont Raceway. In particular last Thursday there was an incident with cars drifting on that road, and it was witnessed by Altamont officials and neighbors. If there are any more complaints THERE WILL BE NO NIGHT DRIFT.

Tentatively we will be holding a meeting this friday. We are still going to figure out the meeting place. Stayed tuned to www.ncda.net for the details. The purpose of the meeting is for us to get the signatures of as many drifters as possible, promising not to drift on Midway road. We absolutely NEED this.

the only local motorsports facility was lost to my area last year parly due to hooligans. it was just an unused airstrip that was leased out to a manager who then rented out to motorsports clubs for autox and drift. but there was also a much publicized 1/8th mile drag race held there and people found out about the lot so they had guys show up in the middle of the night to run. the owners weren't too happy about that and shut it down. (maybe it wasn't entirely their fault since there had been rumblings that the owners have been looking to boot us out for a while now as part of the airport restoration, so they took the early excuse to do so.) activities were pretty much cancelled until we got a new lot. all the legitmate sports car clubs have to be extra careful not to abuse what we have.

Well, trough the grapevine I've heard that we are on a very fine line where we may no longer have anymore NCDA Night Drifts. Thanks so much to the assholes who were out on Midway Rd by the Altamont raceway last thursday for being the biggest idiots in the [email protected] WORLD!! and TRYING to street drift racing up and dowen the road. NCDA and staff just happened to be in a meeting with Altamont track officials, local law enforcement representatives and other city officials that hold our drift paradise fantasy in the palms of thier hands. Then just at the perfect time these fuckers come and decide that they need to drift there. So these dumbasses did their thing havin a grand ole time while the unsung heroes we know of as NCDA Representatives who are the forefathers of Legit Nor Cal Track drifting, stood there in awe trying to show that we aint a bunch of kids spinnin donuts and that no this aint no sideshow and boom, assholes ruin it for EVERYONE!!. You know, when people ask me what drifting is i start to explain and they ALWAYS say, "oh, like a sideshow." NOOOOOO!!! Nothing like that! But how can we break this general opinion that we're NOT a bunch of punk kids out to cause trouble by spinning donuts and getting sideways everywhere when at the MOST IMPORTANT time for Nor Cal Drifting EVER!!!, a bunch of FUCKING IDIODTS ruined it for all of us. I mean, they repaved, made track patterns especially for drifting! and BOOM!!! in 30 min we may have lost it all. I hope it was worth it you fuckers. Thanks for maybe being the spark that started the inferno that keeps us from being able to drift at the altamont ever again!! Spread the word, don't drift or race by the altamont!! I know sacramento sheriffs post up a car at the end of the road down the street from the dragstrip after each event to stop idiots to do exactly just that.
