Does anyone know who makes, or where to get replacement bushings for the Rear Z32 Aluminum Uprights/Spindles?

That should be enough.

More in depth, energysuspension.com, they're the same as the S13/S14. The shock mount bushing isn't made by anyone that I know of besides Border, used to be available through SPL.

I used S13 Master bushing kit bushings on the rear Z32 uprights I have.

Nismo makes a replacement bushing for the shock mount.. but its pretty expensive, and looks like it would be even crappier to replace than the suspension arm bushings were.

SPL sells the Biot Spherical for the Z32 lowers.

and Sphericals for every other link.

That would be hardcore :bite:

So? You're saying forum members can't buy from any other Nissan dealer? That's sort of pigheaded. Especially when a local dealer can get the same stuff for the same price and avoid shipping charges.

For the install, the arm bushings pop right out of the Z32 uprights since they don't rust in like the S13/S14 bushings do, I use a pair of sockets (18mm and 32mm IIRC) and press them out in a vice, way easier than burning and cutting. I'd also leave the shock mount OE since the angle is slightly different for the S13/S14 shock and you'll need to twist the bushing a little to bolt it up. Using a stiffer bushing would be a lot more work to get the bolt seated properly.

Yep, I filled the small void in my shock mount bushing with polyurethane window sealant and its hard to bolt the lower mount up if the top is already bolted on. There seems to be about a 3-4 degree difference between the damper rear lower mount and the upright shock mount. No big deal though.

Thanks for all the input...I actually already have the ES S13 Master bushing kit, but was specifically looking for the shock mount bushing.....I think I'm gonna try to find the Border one,...hopefully through SPL.

Jason,...please let me know if you have the NISMO bushing for the Z32 upright shock mount.
I'll be sure to send you a PM within the next few days if i don't hear anything from you.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I figured better than starting a new one.

Is there anywhere I can buy just the bushings for the Z32 upright?

Same as the S13/S14, any of the rear ES kits will have all of them plus enough to do the arms too. Otherwise you can buy the Nismo bushings one at a time. Just like mentioned in the links above.

btw, when installing z32 spindle onto s14, which type of pillow ball joint do you use for the rear lower control arm?

They do make the rear kit for the z32 but it might be a waste since it comes with the control arm bushings and I am not sure if it will fit the s chassis. I dont think they make a kit just for the upright.

so the z32 bushing comes with control arm bushing?

Z32 and S13 use the same Aarm (control arm) bushing, and the arm can be interchanged as well if needed. The S14 control arm has wider mounting staunches and won't work, so you'd want to buy the S14 kit if you owned one. It comes with the arms, uprights, and Aarms all in one set as does the S13.

Basically if you buy a full rear kit and have adjustable arms you can sell the extra bushings to someone else to do his uprights.
