Big things laying on the freeway and cars in front of you that serve at the last second leaving you with no time/options :-/ Pretty much just coming back from the airport and all of a sudden the car in front of me serves over and bam, big chunk of I have no fucking clue nails my front, came home and saw the damage :( Saving for coilovers is going to take a little longer.

Me trying to fix it so I can make it back from Socali to Norcali...Zip-tie and Speed tapes my best friend

Truck tire took the bumper off on I-10. Car in front of me decided to chunk the tire under it and it flew right at me. Had no place to go to swerve, braking would have only made it worst. Hit the tire, bumper broke all the zip tie holding it in place. Flew off the car, jumped 2 lanes to the left into the emergency lane. I pulled off, saw most of it intact, reversed, ziptied it back on the car and made it to my boys house 3 exits down.
SOrry bout the lip. Same thing happened to me except I ran into another car (thanks SUV for blocking my few and changing lanes the last minute). Oh well I have a JDM OEM front now. *Sigh* stupid SUV drivers.

I swear if somebody make a USDM kouki aftermarket lip for bout $300, people will buy it. If somehow somebody can make something that kinda look like the Greddy Lip that fits the kouki bumper and is actually a lip that hangs forward, instead of down/in. Plus the stock lip looks genki anyways...

I got lucky a few weeks ago. I decided to take a long lunch and drive up I-40 for a while. So. I'm driving along and happen to be behind a F-250 loaded with big ass aluminum latters. I decide to switch lanes. As I'm passing I hear a loud crashing/dragging noise from beside me. Looking in my rear view mirrors I see one of the latters come off the truck and a semi swerving to miss it. If I had waited lust a couple of moments to change lanes that could have easily been the end of me. I'm guessing that was about a 30ft ext. latter.

Sorry about the cars damage. Some of these accidents can be prevented by following a vehicle with no less than 4 car lengths of space when on the highway. I had an accord swerve so that I could have a piece of brick damage the passenger side rocker panel. As stated, not enough time to react..just hear the load thunk for I could have jerked the steering wheel while going pretty fast.
Since then, have not made the same mistake and follow 4 cars length on the hwy, especially since I usually drive a tad over the flow's max.

yeah when i drive my 240, i always leave a good space between me and the car ahead of me because you never know what could be on the road.... btw some debree wont touch cars that are stock height but for us lowered cars, it doesnt take much to destroy our bumpers and even whats behind them!

yeah that sucks when that happends.... so far ive been really lucky (knock on wood) when it comes to debree on the road.... i was on the highway at around 1am and i got caught in rain, well i was cruising fairly good when at the last second i spotted a dead dear! ( and guys, canadian dears are huge compared to american dear) but lucky for me the dear was on the yellow line and i missed it with my driver side tires by about 6 inches! thank god or else i think i would have flipped the car!

ah that sucks man. i just hit something the other night. still no idea wtf it is. i saw it spinning in place in the rear view mirror after i hit it. it was big, heavy and metal. i think i lucked out. nothing was really damaged when i checked under the car.
mmmm... a few years ago i was following two cars behind a minivan with some bikes racked on the back. the bikes actually fell off the van. that wasn't fun.

I have bad luck when it comes to shiet on the road. When i first moved to NJ, i had to swerve around a couple of deer, ended up spinning out and clipping some trees. Couldnt really claim it on the insurance cuz if you didnt hit a deer to prove that they were there, then its your fault. So i paid out of pocket to get my car fixed. Passenger side front fender and new door skin later...i got my revenge by going deer hunting with a couple of friends when season opened...

Canadian dear might be bigger but Wisconsin Cows are not fun to hit. I've got friends who have hit live and dead ones.

I pulled a complete fishing pole out of the rear bumper. The reel drug behind my car for a few miles on the highway till the line broke. Hard as hell to remove cause it was wedged between the body and the bumper.

man...i had an s14.5 with a fiberglass kit. going to vegas, and on the way, i hit a BUMPER that was in the middle of the freeway. car is lowered and was going about 80mph. destroyed my whole front end & sideskirts. the only thing left was the s15 headlights. didnt even dent the intercooler though.

Actually the lip that was on my car there was a fiberglass replica that was made by somebody here locally. It's put up with quite a bit of abuse overall. I'm going to get another through him for a very good price, $170, that I can deal with :bigok:

Im talking more of a chin that sticks forward. Not the stock sytle but something else, something different that actually sticks forward like a chin.

Ah, that wouldn't be a bad idea as well. I can settle for a alternative OEM one for now :)

so you mean like a pdm style lip, like the chuuki lip for the s13? or some other lip that flushes it out?

*ahem* i hear origin makes nice kits for replacement kouki bumpers and that zilvia has a big for sale section *ahem*
but seriously i don't envy you guys down ther in socal, when i was in San diego someone had droped a 8-10ft ladder in the middle of the 15 and 163 freeways where they split. luckly i was changeing lanes and saw it ahead. I swerved violently into another lane. truck 2 cars ahead went over it and diddn't get anything bad from it but knocked it sideways accross the lane, and the camery ahead of me hit it. i watched as the side of it flexed up and beat the shit out of the passenger side of his car twice. once when the fronts hit it, and again when the back tires went over it. just happy, it could have been me.... and once comeing back from LA there was a corner of a sheetrock house about 5 feet wide by 3 ft high sitting in the middle of I-5 that almost made me crap myself as i came over the crest of a hill.
but now in Oregon i have to watch out for deer and highway alligators. so i guess it is give and take.
