I really need a/c in my car as it is my daily driver and I have no shops around me that can possibly weld the sr and ka lines together. I have heard that it is possible to use the dohc a/c assembly on the redtop but only about 2 or 3 bolts go in out of the four. Does anyone do this and is it reliable? Now my problem with that is I have a frankenstein setup with a s13 redtop in my zenki s14. Is it still possible to use the dohc ac assembly? And do I have to use s14 assembly or would dohc lines, compressors and everything bolt up.
Thanks,
Will
just find a goodshop that will do the custom lines....all they have to do is change the heads, i also got brand new hoses since the ones i had were already 10 year old hoses....also they used the new line of hoses that comes in the new cars now they are thinner and more flexible.Make sure to change your o rings also...

the problem is that im in bumfuck georgia. ive gone to multiple places and they said that they could do it just be really expensive and theyd have to try to figure it out. i told them that they could weld the lines but they said theyre too thin and itd be really hard. same story from every shop.

If you don't mind putting out a few bucks and shipping then contact X-ta Racing, they modify AC lines.

do you know about how much they run? and arent the lines rather fragile to ship? id be worried they would break.

Correction: The place is called XAT Racing and here's the link,http://www.xatracing.com/xatracingparts.html?row2col1=nissanswapdiy.html. Good luck.

at one point or another everything has been shipped (ok well most things) imagine all the places those lines have been from factory to wehre they are now it all depends on the packaging.

has anyone ever bought the lines from xat racing?
thats funny, the first shop i went to did a kick ass job and the whole thing cost me 100.
you can run s14 DOHC ac compressor. s13 dohc compressor will fit, but the low pressure line wont bolt up like it should on the KA. 2 of the 4 bolts will bolt up. use the stock KA wiring and might have to shave off alittle of the SR20 ac bracket with a grinder. The wiring is very simple.

i think if you order those custom lines from xatracing then it would be a bolt on affair. have to wire up the harness too..

FA is like a big library, the answers are out there so all you have to do is look in the right place.
