ok so my sr tranny messed up.. 5th went out then a couple days later it stayed in reverse in all gears, even in nuetral. i have a good ka tranny.. so my questions is, if i swap bellhousings... itll be all good? or will i still have the same problem. i think the gears are in the bellhousings of the sr so theres no point but plz correct me if im wrong. thanks

no, the bellhousing on any tranny just holds the flywheel and clutch.
I've never heard of a tranny staying in one gear, when the shifter is in other positions though...Did you install a short shifter yourself? Is there any resistance when you are trying to shift gears???

the gears are all in the transmission like he said. The bellhousing does however hold some inards in it and it needs to be delicately swapped over, there are many writeups on this, prolly some here, but i know FA has many also.

I've watched it done in my garage on my friends CA project. CA tranny was fubar so he took the bell housing off the KA tranny and put the CA housing on. works just fine and he's driving around in it.
I was amazed how easy it was, considering I was skeptical at first.
Just unbolt the front cover and take it off. Then take out the center bolts and take the bellhousing of the center carrier. RTV both sides of the center carrier and install the other bell housing. the install the front cover with some RTV.
I even have the KA Bellhousing still sitting in the garage:
