Can anyone tell me how the to take that part of the steering off? I don't know what it's called but obviously you can see from the photo mine is now bent at a 90 degree angle when it is supposed to be straight. Do I need to use a huge wrench to undo it towards the center part of the assembly were that bolt is?

Help quick would be appreicated. I have to go back to the salvage yard and get a new one.

drift into a curb

there's a a little locking plate around the bulge/ball joint for the inner tie rod. Use a flathead to pry it open (four spots because if you look at the bulge, it looks like a square) and then fit a adjustable crescent wrench around the bulge. Lefty loosey and presto.
