im thinking of grabbing one of the corbeau fx-1 pro's from the group buy, and was wondering if anybody used/uses them and how did they like it? i was going to grab the buddy club seat, but the corbeau is far cheaper, and is optional in all black which i prefer over black/gray or red/gray. so how did you like it, does it hold well? i dont have to worry about not fitting because im a skinny white boy, so thats not a problem. so any input is appreciated, especially from you cheap s13 people who have em hahah. searching does not help...as i have done so, and am doing. thanks!

corbeau is mad junk unless you are like extremely fat, we are talking 250+. terrible seats, feel like sitting on a bench. i am skinny white boy also, had 2+ inches on either side of my hips and shoulders in an fx-1.

corbuea raills are just as bad
remove the butt cushion to keep your head insdie the car or off the ceiling
save up. get a way better seat
splparst.com has a rad priced seat right now. check the adverstisers forum. ships to customesr in a couple weeks!!

corbeaus fabric frays, and clings to you after a short while, cushion is way soft and the frigging seat frame digs into you. Corbeaus are junk imo

I had a cr-1 which i was pretty happy with. I didn't pay too much for it because i got it used.

I havn't sat in an fx-1 before though.

Btw I'm 5'6" and about 150lbs so I'm probably shorter than most. My head was almost to the ceiling already.

Corbeau = Cloth wrapped over bare frame with minimal padding.

Corbeau = Death Seat.

SPL FTW!

Depends on the model and your size, I fit great in my old A4s but they did sit high. I sold them mainly because the fabric they use is very low quality and you're certain to be vacuuming it every three hours to keep it clean. You can actually see lint and hair pull away from other surfaces and stick to it.

Corbeau gets a big fat FAIL from me. I never liked ANY of their seats. To me they all feel cheap, from the body of the seat all the way to the fabric used.

yeah i think im going for either buddy club or the SPL seat, whichever is cheaper. you guys sold me on one or the other, both of which have had good reviews, apparently great reviews compared to the corbeau seats. i was going to buy one because it was under 400 new, but i guess you get what you pay for. i searched the seat guide thread, and only one person even reviewed the corbeau seat they had.

You're high on meth. Buddy club seats suck. Charge speed seats suck. Bride copies suck. Cobra seats SUCKKKKKK.

Corbeau seats are ok at best. Better quality then all above and better comfort. My beef with the FX1 is that its like 1/2 an inch too high. If you're 6ft or taller you wont fit with a helmet. Other then that it's an exact Sparco EVO copy. Doesn't flex or twist like the the buddyclub/chargespeed crap.

THE FX1 IS THE ONLY DECENT SEAT. It's a fiberglass shell, so no crappy rail to dig into your okole.

Sparco seats are more worth your money.

Bride even more so.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Especieally when buying seats.

Blah, Recaro kicks them outta da water, I just copped a SPG to replace my Sparco Evo.

Bride's older stuff is way better than the new stuff

If we could bring in the Recaro Japan stuff like the Harrier it would be ill:

I like the new sparco sprint 5 seat. Now has hole for 5th point and is side or bottom mount. real comfortable tool. And $300 for an FIA approved seat, I mean common. Not bad. Much better than the older design.

2 years ago called...

It said next time you can just read the info and make your own mind instead of bumping a dead thread back to life.

Thanks 2006, you're really smart!
