3sgte into s13

i got a 3sgte powered mr2 that was in a rollover given to me and im trying to decide if throwing the 3sgte into a s13 coupe would be a good idea. i think i could use a ae86 tranny for it, but im not sure.. someone told me they put out 255 hp stock..? well i just want some opinions... good idea or bad idea...just tell me what you think..

The late model japanese ones have 250 hp. The us turbos have around 200.
Instead of an ae86 tranny go with a rwd altezza/is200 tranny if you can find one. It would be a cool swap and if they got a 2jz in there the 3s shouldn't be too hard.

If you figure out how to the the sideways motor to go point the right direction using an AE86 tranny, then custom motor mounts, tranny mounts and drive shaft = $$$
It would be cool I guess. I don't know anything about the 3SGTE. Seems like a lot of work for the same results as a Nissan 4cyl engine.
Personally, I would sell the motor and tranny for as much as you can. Part out whatever is left.

the mr2 3s-gte wont work. you should get the toyota altezza BEAMS 3s-gte motor.
if you do use the mr2 version, you can use the motor and make a custome bellhousing and use a 7m-gte tranny.

Rear Engine S13 project? If not, then I agree with what had already been said. Part it out for $$$.

Hello you will need the bellhousing from a 1S Toyota RWD chassis,clutch fork and throwout assm from the above,or a mix & match of 2nd gen celica/supra hardware,then use a W58 gearbox form celia,supra. Custom motor mounts,tranny mount,custom dive shaft,wireing & plumbing. I say do it there is alot to be found in the 3SG motor,that would be sick ,but for the work and $$$$$ involved,put the SR and MOD it up. Unless its simply for the sake of being wicked !!!!!! Do it
