I drive the S14 for a month now, it's a 95'er and has done 70000 miles yet. When i drive over a hole in the street there always is this noise from the back of the car, nearly as if the suspension would entirely smack in or the car would touch the ground. But i checked the suspension and everything is okay so i hope someone can tell me what this is about or if the S14 simply is louder than the BMW i had before.

Umm, I have 2 ideas...
1. Blown strut, and since there is no fluid in it, it cant keep up with the how fast the suspension needsmove because of the "hole."
2. Trunk helper springs (the rods that run across the trunk lid) might have a broken connector)the little plastic piece that seperates the 2), and they are banging together from the shock, for a quick fix, just get a zip tie, and tighten the shit outta it
Hope This Helps, Lates

It's not a BMW. It's not a $1000 suspension set-up that came out of the factory. In fact, it's good for its class, but for people who buy 240s after they have beemers, they suck. If you say you didn't notice a blown strut, then the strut is not blown. To re-test it, just grab each quarter panel by the wheelwell and move the car up and down. If it moves easily, it's blown.
