well im finally gettin a 240...itll be off ebay this weekend...too bad its an automatic SOHC....i know its not gonna be completely easy...but the heavy throttle tutorial will help as will a lot of other tutorials iv found..but would a vet or someone read my list of what im gonna need and tell me if i possibly missed something?
also...how many are not running power steering? is it a true pain? thinkin about ditchin it altogether...
anyways.
auto to 5 speed...
clutch pedal, master cylinder/hardline, slave cylinder/flex line, tranny x-member, manny driveshaft..that all right? my clutch kit either spec or exedy will have TO bearing and everything right?
motor-either red or black i cant decide...from jspec, greddy fmic, some sort of intake, walbro fuel pump..
where can i get a downpipe that eliminates the cat? do i have to get a turbo elbow to go to the downpipe?
i know theres alot of questions goin on, but the info will be greatly appreciated...
thanks everyone...

broken gave you a slam dunk. but to elaborate, no power steering is a complete bitch, first and foremost there was just a thread on this search it, second, it is a great feeling once you get going, you feel everything and feel like your really in control, but its a bitch when your pulling out of the driveway and just driving really slow, I cant wait till I can get me a ps pump for sr, I will truely enjoy my car even more.
You are right aobut the MT swap, brake pedal is optional, its not hard to do brake pedal, you must drop the column, which is just 4 bolts, but it can be a bear to some people, I just cut my pedal and am fine with it, also many people try to find a hardline from someone, just get it from the dealer its only like 20 bux, and you dont have to deal wiht paying outrageous oversized shipping. your complete clutch kit will come with that shit that you need.
Red or black doesnt matter, only diff is black is gonna be not as old, compression matters more than color. get one with good compression.
Personally I went with project silvia, or is it project nissan now, anyway that came with downpipe and a test pipe that eliminates cat.

I believe Uras makes a downpipe that is extended so you don't need a test either. Than I believe D-Max makes a downpipe with the elbow on it but not deleting the cat. The only thing is it might cost a lot. Also I don't have power steering and it is a pain a lot. Good luck with you swap and conversion.

oh iv read plent of faqs....could use a few more but i dont have internet at home so i try to crunch as much as i can at a time....plus i figured i would just wait to get a dohc with 5 speed...then i wouldnt have any questions at all...
as far as red or black is concerned, does anyone feel one may be more reliable than the other, like i was told the blacktops tend to handle a little more after mods...
