is that the one that "sort" of looks like a U shape.

sort of like that?

if so, it goes between the tension rod brackets in front.
connects at the same point that the TC rods bolt in.

Really simple install.
I think all you really need is 17mm sockets... or 19mm, one or the other, i forget.

I had the blue cusco one.... which is exactly the same part.

If you want a FYI thing, you COULD buy the Nismo power brace which is sort of the same function.... and you could use this Kazama bad too, so you get double stiff rock time! I had that setup on my car, but sold the cusco bad because I simply needed money.
Anywho, good luck with the installs.
I want new parts! :(

Is it safe for someone like this guy who started this thred to install hard parts with only hand tools???? I mean I think tightening bolts that go and hold suspension parts outta be tourqed down alot more then just by hand. Dont you think?

the right way would be to get the torque specs of your vehicle and torque everything down to the T, but Most supspension parts i've install i use a impact gun to bolt down the nuts. its fast and easy. And all the shops i've seen do the same thing. Well it helps if u have access to a compressor and the proper tools too.

I have done all mine with my hands.
Torque wrench and Service Manual.
It's really easy.

well just for everyone to know.... i am using air ratchets to loosen and tighten the nuts/bolts and then torque them by hand..... but you could do it with hand tools, it would just take longer.

be careful with too tight of a front; understeer

I do everything by hand.
Maybe that means I am a wuss.... or that I don't have air tools.

im not at that point yet.... my rear is 20 times stiffer then the front... i got the roll cage in the back of the car only so it really stiffens it up back there. i got pretty much no chassis flex. like my car is on jackstands right now.... but the floor is not perfectly flat and i only have 3 jackstands touching the car...

So what is the right way to do it then.

the proper way to do it is to torque down the bolts by hand to the specs given in the fsm. using an impact wrench, you are likely to overtorque your bolts.

DO NOT use impact for tightening bolts. Nothing. Ever. Impact is only for loosening. You WILL overtighten.

Use a torque wrench to get it to spec... the right way.

Back to the thread starter's question:
Install is the exact same as removal. Just get under there, see what needs to be loosened to take off the old pieces, replace with the new ones.

For the adjustable arms, eye-ball them and make sure they're as close to stock length as possible before you bolt them up.

Get an alignment ASAP and they'll square it all up for you.
Enjoy. ;)

werd, dont use an impact gun at all actually... just a 17mm and 19mm wrench and ratchet.

if kazama is a half moon ruca face them forward (open-end back)

stick some release-all in there too, remember this guy is in Canada. alot of the bolts are going to be on there pretty good. an impact gun would be a mistake. whats more is that an impact gun may not even get in to some of the spaces... some are pretty tight.

dont lose your eccentric bolts and washers for the RUCA (and traction arms if you dont have HICAS)

just line up everything by eye with your factory stuff. you can set your alignment by eye pretty well too. i did mine by eye and its good up to 230kph...lol... but you may want to get a laser alignment if you're a pretty boy

Yah, alignment can't always be done by eye... at least not good enough if you use your car to NEED those suspension parts.

Get it done right or pay for it later.
