Are the ncda instructors gonna compete at night drift to gain points for the cali showdown at the end of the season?
A tad curious. Could I compete in one? I plan on heading down to cali in the later part of june. It would be nice if you let me in on one event.

If only the second night drift of the month is for CDC points are tandem battles still going to be held on the first night drift every month? Practice only instead? Bragging rights battles instead? Team suisou battles? Smelliest finger battles?
sweet. hopefully will be ate the June 26th one. What is the entrance fee? and do you allow ride alongs? lol

its kinda lame and small for grip, but no ones going to stop you from gripping if you want I suspose....
is there any chance to get more track practice in? I belive theres only 2hrs of open track till they start the comp.
Anyways at the Socal event on June 26th. Who all has been on that track.
Whats everyone doing gear/mph wise?

Competition usually starts late, and you can just drive in the comp, no one said you have to TRY to qualify. I drove in the qualify, for more track time. :keke:
lol i think you misunderstood me i'm looking for as much track time as possible.

The June 26th event does not have a specified venue just yet. It's either going to be at the balcony or at the oval. It most likely will be at the oval. I'm usually in the middle of 3rd because I like to initiate ridiculous early.
If the event is at the balcony, it is a slightly slower entry speed. I prefer to short shift 2nd and upshift to third for my entry so I have some revs to work with rather than going super redline banging in 2nd.
Of course, everyone's driving style and cars are different so people will tell you different things. Power is a big factor in determining your style of entry at the oval. If you have decent power, you should initiate from farther out and vice versa. Balcony on the other hand is similar for low and high power cars.
Yes everyones drvingin style is different. Me(ka) vs my friend(sr)
What i do top of 2nd he does mid of 3rd.

YES... we need the binoculars so we can see you in the other side of the hill...................

are you talking about the norcal event? cause there is about 4 hours of practice before comp. that will be a shit load of non stop runs, we end up taking breaks to save tires cause we get so much track time.

I know you wont believe this. But jump drifting is actually a technique that todd ho invented to link corners in his fc. At sears point i remember seeing todd jump drifting his 100hp fc allmost to the roll over point just to keep the slide going. He did it consistantly for 8-10 laps that i viewed.
Jump drift FTW.
actually that was me completly cutting the corner HAHA
I was just gonna hold the drift no matter what and i ended up going through the grass with 3/4 of my car and hitting a rather LARGE dip

A Cali drifting championship! Damn... you guy's get everything... haha j/k =). I wish we had something like that up here in the Northwest. We get about two drift events a month (if that), but only have a competition once every 2-3 months or so.
