If I unplug the MAFS it does not affect anything. That is what I believe it is. I have checked and verified that there are no boost leaks or vaccum leaks.I really wnat to get my motor running.

It might be, but those things run for like $150 and i don't think you wonna spend that much money w/o making sure it's the maf.... i though have no idea how you could verify that the maf sensor is failing

does your car just rev up to around 2200 25oo go back down and shoot right back up?
your car is basically in "safe mode" from what it sounds like.
is an engine light on?
i am pretty sure its your maf connector, did you wire it up correctly?
i had the same thing happen on my sr20de in my sentra one of the maf wires broke on the connector harness. fixed the broken wire plugged it back in and the problem was gone deleted the code

it will idle fine all day....but once I try to rev it it will rev up to 2200rpms and then no goes past...it just bounces back up to 2200rpms than back down to 2000rpms....does anyone know the proper voltage levels that are read at the MAFS...

disconnect the MAF plug and start the car. See if it does the same thing. If it does, it's probably either the MAF sensor, or wiring like camppain said.

This sounds exactly like what happened to me the other day when we were finishing up on my engine. The engine would rev to ~2200 and then sound like it was hitting the rev limiter. It ended up that the wires to the MAF were loose and we had to solder them again. Hope this helps!!!

is it right before u boost? if so, check all ur pipes and make sure they are secure and tight from the turbo to the intercooler and from there to ur intake manifold, i think they arent on tight enough and under pressure they are bleeding and its keepin the turbo from spoolin up right....its like studdering at 2200 rpm in every gear right?

I didn't have a boost leak....one of the MAFS wires was disconnected at the ECU...the engine runs like a champ now....
